If you enjoy power boating, the High Falls flowage is a very popular spot for that.
This is our family spot for camping. Kids look forward to coming back each year. Newer park with great shower and restroom facilities. Miles of trails to walk. The only thing that kept it from a 5 is the swimming. An OK lake to swim in the park, but lots of options out of the park.
Very nice park. Sites were nice. Things are a little spread out(swimming, boat launch), but that seems to be typical of state parks. Lots of coyote at night working in the park - neat to hear!
Have only been there to kayak Couldron Fall reservoir. Lots of great bays to explores. The campground does look nice and new. The site are spaced out with lots of foliage to separate you from you neighbors
The park offers access to fishing, beach and pretty flat trails.
All roads, buildings, etc., are brand new and beautiful. The sites are a little bare yet, but should fill in over time. Some spots offer little privacy, but most are laid out well.
Our kids are part fish, so not having a swimming area is normally a deal-breaker, but there are other parks nearby that offer swimming. We especially enjoy checking out Veteran Falls and the hike up to Thunder Mountain.
New Campground. Site 73 with 2 large dogs. I'd try for 70 or 69 as they are right on trail good for walking them. Family oriented. Each site pretty isolated from the next.
